Gradings and Championships:
Sensei Gerhard will do all the gradings up to first Dan. Thereafter, we will use Japanese-accredited examiners to ensure our belts are internationally recognized. There will be two grading weeks per year.


Championships are only for a select few karatekas, and even then, it’s a very subjective judging process. We thus discourage too much emphasis on competition. Once a karateka excels and is a
senior enough belt, we will advise the best platforms to compete on.
